Mindfulness to Reduce Anxiety & Manage Pain: Podcast
It was great to be interviewed about using mindfulness to reduce anxiety during lockdown by Shaun Donaghy for one of his regular Mindfulness for Beginners podcasts. We chatted about various ways that mindfulness can help us cope during the COVID-19 lockdown, particularly around managing the understandable anxiety that so many of us are experiencing (the interview was recorded on April 19th 2020).
We also talk about how I used mindfulness to help me manage the pain that I experienced throughout my cancer treatment, and for about a year afterwards.
Finally, I share one of the key meditations that I am using during lockdown: a beautiful version of Metta (Loving Kindness) by Thich Nhat Hanh.
You can access the home page for all of Shaun’s podcasts here. They are a mixture of short meditation practices and some longer interviews about mindfulness. I hope that he inspires you as much as he inspires me.
