This is a weekly Mindfulness for Anxiety class that you are welcome to join at any point of the year, because each session stands alone whilst also being related to all other weeks. Together, the classes interweave to gradually build a broad range of mindfulness practices to reduce your anxiety.
Every class follows the same pattern of teaching: a concept or activity related to mindfulness in daily life, and then a 15-20 minutes guided meditation.
The intention is to make the classes a welcoming, peaceful and friendly place, where both beginners and more experienced mindfulness practitioners feel equally at home. You therefore are welcome to join the Mindfulness for Anxiety class with your camera on or off: or to be visible for the teaching element of the class and then turn your camera off during the meditation.
There is no obligation to attend live because two separate recordings will be emailed to you after the event: one that covers the teaching element of the class, and another of the meditation. However, attending live obviously enables you to participate via the Zoom Chat Facility if you would like to do so, as well as building a sense of community and shared learning.
There will be opportunities to deepen your understanding by asking questions or sharing reflections via the Chat box on Zoom if you would like to do so: and weekly topics can be led by the questions of those attending. However there is no obligation at all to get involved, and you are welcome just to quietly observe if this suits your learning style better.
