This is a friendly, relaxed mindfulness class that you are welcome to join at any point of the year. Together, the classes interweave to gradually build a broad range of mindfulness practices to support you on your path to a calmer, happier life.
The focus of these weekly classes is usually around managing anxiety or physical pain, but this is isn’t always the case and it’s important to me that the content is dynamic and relevant to how everyone is feeling each week.
Every class follows the same pattern so that we have a clear, comfortable structure:
~ a chance to check-in and feel part of a supportive community
~ teaching and discussion around a concept or activity related to mindfulness in daily life
~ a 15-20 minutes guided mindfulness meditation
A recording of the meditation is emailed to you afterwards, so that you can enjoy it again at any time.
The intention is to make the classes a welcoming, peaceful and friendly place, where both beginners and more experienced mindfulness practitioners feel equally at home.
There are opportunities to deepen your understanding by asking questions or sharing reflections in person or in the chat box on Zoom if you would like to do so, but there is no obligation at all to get involved, and you are welcome just to quietly observe if this suits your learning style better. You are therefore welcome to join the mindfulness class with your camera on or off, or to be visible for the teaching element of the class and then turn your camera off during the meditation.
I like to make the learning environment as comfortable as possible, so please let me know if there is anything else that I can do to help.
