The event is free and open to everyone, although you are required to email Kat at NCPS to reserve a spot and to allow her to send the Zoom link to you.
Katie Sheen is a Mindfulness teacher and speaker who delivers, amongst other events and courses, the Breathworks Mindfulness for Health course. This helps adults who suffer with pain, fatigue and other long term physical conditions.
The course has already changed thousands of people’s lives that were plagued by pain, fatigue, loss of confidence, increased anxiety and so much more. That is why NCPS wants you to know more about the incredible benefits Mindfulness can bring into your life that can include less severe pain and fatigue, less interference of pain and fatigue in daily life, increased confidence, increased activity, less sleep difficulties. It helps promote a positive state of mind where you can focus on improving your quality of life, have less anxious and negative thoughts taking over, as well as being more compassionate towards yourself.
NCPS wants their almost 600 members to have access to the best tools to live well with their chronic pain. They have an amazing community of members who use the services NCPS provides including the twice weekly Zoom sessions, 1:1 sessions and a private support group, to help them find the strength and confidence to take back control of their lives.
NCPS helps support and empower members to reach out and find advice, kindness and connections with the other members. Feeling able to talk openly and honestly about the struggles they face, as well as laugh and have fun is essential to learning how to manage a balanced and fulfilling life with chronic pain.
